Dancing Those days that blockbuster drugs for the masses would takeoff right after launch with massive marketing are over ,I remember when Lipitor was launched, back then the main competition was Zocor by Merk. But the main difference was that doctors were in charge, they could write based on what they thought was the better drug for whatever reason. There were no pharmacy benefit drug managers , these days insurance companies are in charge they decide which drugs patients should take case in point Vascepa.

@twi...

Is Forbes trying to lead the league in the "Dumb Shit" category..Imagree with BB that I would not want this guy to be running my company...

The reason why Harvoni makes money is it costs $94,500 for a 12 week treatment...but it works..The reason why cheaper drugs for more prevalent diseases don't make money is most of them are not very effective and/.or have serious side effects...ie..They are not on balance, great drugs..

Looking at the big indications...Heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's Diabetes, or depression..."Where is the Beef"?...Certainly not PCSK9s Cancer is still alive and kicking..Alzheimers is growing like Topsy..Who wants to take a drug guaranteed to give you urinary infections?...and the whole field is enough to make you depressed...

Vascepa is going to be different...because it does work...and it works great and it does not have a closet full of nsty side effect...V will kick effing Harvoni's ass once it get going...
