Chas. Suggest you talk to MD’s that write scripts that are never filled because patient can’t afford .
Instead the patient ends up in the ER where you and I or some one ... ie tax payers ... are paying for their ( now more expensive care )
I’m not advocating socialized medicine for all as the only option .
In some countries you are offered basic coverage but have to wait for specialized treatment . However you are free to pay for the specialized treatment yourself at private hospitals if you don’t want to wait .
