427 - No one can rewrite the Embarq PR, other than the company. The Embarq PR said nothing about Embarq currently testing ANYTHING from RIM, notta, zippo. You're ignoring the significant qualifiers in the PR that likely mean Embarq will NEVER actually test ANYTHING... that is given RIM's 10 year, not 10 month, or 10 quarter, or 10 week, or 10 day track record... but 10 years, for not doing what they said they will do.
You can spin it anyway you choose. You're wasting your time with me. Until they provide independent, at arms length, meaningful proof they have a viable tech, until it's standards compliant, and until someone like Embarq commits to using the technology, which would only come after an ASSP is manufactured and tested, this is a pig in a poke IMO.
RIM has systematically failed to deliver, and Brad has had nearly four years to change the legacy Ray created. He not only wasn't strong enough to oust Ray, he's promised, personally, since 2003 to deliver a finished product... that's '03, '04, '05, and now '06 that have gone by without him delivering on that pretty darn basis necessity... to deliver a viable product for sale and sell it.
Truly, I can't understand why that doesn't concern you tremendously. Even a blind man finds his rear once in awhile. If all Brad has to do is clean up the balance sheet** of a paper company like RIM to impress you... well, I believe you're as easily impressed in the world of business as anyone I have personally ever met. Hands down.
Uffda, as they say in Minnesota. (and it's not a swear word, but it means, basically, oh my!)
** The more I think about how impressed you seem to be with Brad's ability to clean up a balance sheet the more I shake my head. I dare say it would be harder to do the avg US tax return than it would be to clean up the balance sheet of a nearly defunct shell like RIM.
