While in most DV cases it is not uncommon for both sides to deny allegations... something sounds fishy.
I'll hold my judgment until more facts are given, but based on Trump's crazed followers, who have threatened to attack any Democratic candidate for president, this could be a case of ratfucking. They said they would frame candidates the way they perceive that Kavanaugh was. And, of course, several tabloids are the new source that first reports it.
