Maybe all that just pushed him over the edge and he smacked his date. Cops don't usually take you to jail for domestic violence unless there is some proof of physical injury. If it were just a loud argument, a cop would say, "If I have to come back here, One of you is going to jail. I suggest one of you leave here and cool off."
Of course, there is always the possibility that some woman managed to get picked up by Avenatti, went to his apartment and then beat herself hard enough to provide visible physical evidence of domestic violence. All to curry favor with Donald Trump. Sounds reasonable to me. LOL!!
