1. The number of patients is 15 - by any CNS trial standards it is low. This reduces timeline substantially as enrolling 50 or more patients would have been very difficult.
If the co is working with rett.org, they can enroll them in 2-3 months
2. The 7 week duration of treatment - again very low to reasonable. Really 2 months of treatment will get over very soon and better to monitor and control. There is a downside to it - will it show any results at all in such short duration?
All in all we can actually get topline results in 6 to 8 months after 1st patient dosing. That really fills gap between PD enrollment progress. AD is far too in future
