What i recall reading (and i'll have to create time later to go re-read and read more) is that Warburg helped initially fund LPI. He likes the co. but is having to liquidate one of his hedge funds for clients.
This is just sketchy recall that i'm reporting here from faulty memory.
Someone who sold, let's say, EMES @$5 last month when it was making new lows probably feels damn good about it now...as does Warburg for avoiding another $45M in losses on LPI...
And you continue to avoid my larger point. Namely, you can't possibly believe that your DD on your $10-20K LPI position is more in-depth, thorough, and informed than Warburg's DD on their $300M position!
