[/quote] I've just about given up trying to share, or let's say, convince people of the gravity of V. Whether it's two people I know with stents at the gym, or friends in finance, still suggesting I should pull a million out of the profits, and let the rest ride. The group at risk listen, say they would speak to their cardiologist, and two years in, they still have that dumb look when I ask, "well, did you speak with your cardiologist?" This morning, again, the friend in finance says, "I would sell some and put it away". The same guy who recommended I not buy 200K shares a couple of years ago. That's the state of affairs my friend.
I feel your pain. I've been a similar place over planning for retirement and now V. ("Yeah, I should do that.") I try to stay patient about being told.... Nah. Ain't gonna go there. When I try to explain the irrationality of the markets/humans, I like to pull out this chart. It was bought and sold all the way down...
Of course it had 200% swings once it got to $Oblivion and you could make a fortune trading around.....
And once your buddies have a heart attack, Their Doc's will say, "There was this study that had a population of individuals with prior events..." and then it'll get done. So it goes....
I have encountered the same skeptics including a VERY wealthy health nut friend who asked his stock broker about AMRN and was promptly told to “forget it- its just another biotech flash in the pan”
