Quote: Left field but how about Amarin purchasing one or more of the larger EPA suppliers post AHA, paying for the acquisition in shares. Why just corner the market when you could buy it outright?

Those big EPA suppliers know how valuable that ingredient is and that Amarin only has 10 years left before generics enter the market and new customers become available. Why would they sell? The big guys also make a lot of other things, not just EPA so they brings a ton of baggage and other crap not needed by Amarin.

From Amarin's perspective, this stuff is not that tough to make. Why spend a huge chunk of money on something many companies can make?

Amarin needs to get working on their next product, not buy purified EPA makers. EPA fun time is over for them in 2029.

Sounds like you’re suggesting unfair competition by violating federal antitrust laws.

“Every person who shall monopolize, or attempt to monopolize, or combine or conspire with any other person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, shall be deemed guilty of a felony, blah blah blah”

FDA exclusivity doesn’t mean it’s the Wild West...
