Exactly. Vascepa as one poster on here said yrs ago "turbo charges the statin." I always liked that idea. Considering some statins have nasty side effects it has been part of the reason I felt Vascepa would be so successful. We don't need to replace statins just get added on to every statin Rx then we have a winner a really big winner.

More about the mechanism of Vascepa than Amarin when
4 millions of people have taken Vascepa. Must be an
ego... genius and spit out the credentials every now
and then quick to insult others with different point
of view...

According to Preston Mason, statin and EPA has a synergistic effect as illustrated by figure 4 of the following link,

Actually this only occurs at the the point where LDL comes into contact with the vessel wall...(as noted in my post) and is only the result of fewer ldl particles making contact with the wall because statins reduce production of LDL particles.
