>>>I would suggest you drop that anti-administration hysteria<<<

I'm not hysterical, nor worried. I'm pissed off. US citizens who support anything George bush does in the name of anti-terrorism are the hysterical and worried ones and that would include you. I want to fight the w.o.t. while preserving the system america has been admired for over 300 years and you want that destroyed so you can feel safer. And I'm the hysterical one?

>>>You cite two examples, neither of which have anything to do with the laws you claim to be so worried about<<<

Actually the new law has everything to do with the examples I cited. The human rights violations against Arrar and the violation of Padilla's constitutional rights are now perfectly legal which they were not before.

>>>yet you totally ignore that islamic extremists have already murdered thousands of our citizens and attacked us here on our own soil and have vowed to attack and kill us whenever they are able.<<<

The hysterical right's argument of choice against anyone who disagrees with George Bush's destruction of the US constitution. "If you don't agree with how he handles the threat you obviously don't understand how grave the threat is".

Let's say both our homes have been burglarized. I install a high-end security system, cameras, new locks and sleep with a handgun in my nightstand. You booby trap the entire house with explosives, bury land mines throughout your yard and sleep with an AK 47 and 3 Dobermans in your lap. In your opinion, the difference in how we deal with the threat demonstrates who understands the threat and who doesn't or demonstrates that there's more than one solution to the problem?
