Very interesting research with respect to Zion's prospects. Let's take a look at some quotes as they are pertinent to your research.

Overall, what I took away was that technology is changing so rapidly, that a well that was once considered a dry hole due to economic reasons, can now be seen as commercially viable due to new advances in refracking or fracking a previously uncommercial find.

We remain hopeful but do not yet know if there is producible oil in commercial quantities within our deep primary zones, and there are still many questions yet to be answered. However, we can say with reasonable confidence that the formation is tight with low permeability and has few natural fractures. This is not uncommon, and often times requires advanced stimulation techniques to help determine the well's commercial potential.

IMHO, this is Zion stating that what they have found may be what the Bakken once was. With establishment of the Reservoir within the Active Petroleum System, new technologies can now make the MJ#1 a viable commercial find.

In other words, if Zion is able to establish that the amount of oil within the discovered Reservoir of the Active Petroleum System is of a commercial size at the bottom of the well, newly developed technologies that have reduced the cost to access these types of Reservoirs could be applied to establish a commercial discovery.

The other point that stands out within the research is this.

In 2015, an independent study by the international consulting company Beicip-Franlab concluded that up to 6.6 billion barrels of oil (in-place best estimate) remain to be found in Israel’s Levant Basin. Zion’s Megiddo-Jezreel License area is entirely within the Levant Basin and is well positioned to encounter the key geologic ingredients of an Active Petroleum System.

JRyan did i read in the form someone posted about Israels rules on drilling that Israel does not allow fracking?? I found your theory very interesting and highly possible regarding the cost of drilling coming down along with new and better techniques of retrieving oil from difficult reservoirs.
