Somehow I often find myself there in September for some reason. I don't think it will this year. I'm not usually there for politics, however, one year I got harassed by the Federal Police for taking a photo at CIA Langley. I had to give up my phone. Another year I was at the FDA in MD, stayed at the Marriott on campus at UMD, very nice facility and well manicured university.
Another year, I was actually in DC during the shooting at the Naval Yard. That was a pain. At least I did not photograph the Naval Yard, no Metro or Federal Police.
I like the area, if I have to move there, I love the Vienna/Tyson's/Mclean area
