oh my - you're right, you shouldn't have wasted our time

If your care to fight (by saying I'm drinking cool aide), fine. Analysts, press, IPR tracking orgs, have all written and stated that IDCC holds more WCDMA patents than any other IPR holder. Do you know what WCDMA is as opposed to CDMA? It is the difference between dial up and broadband. 3G is broadband, 2G is dialup. If you need to me to state it a bit simpler, I can. Or, I can speak a bit slower, if you like.

Please show me 1...or one...or Oooonnnneeee (speaking slower for you) reputable source that has found that IDCC holds more WCDMA patents than any other IPR holder.....I'll wait

While any company, including QCOM can say that they own it, it'll be proved in the courts. QCOM isn't there yet with 3G, so I'm not sure you aren't being retro and pining for the 90's again.

Please name 1...or one...or ooonnnneeee of the top 10 handset manufacturers that does NOT have a WCDMA license with Qualcomm....I'll wait

BTW - IDCC has signed many of the big boys, some of the names you haven't heard of yet because the phones are branded by others, but these manufacturers sell more 3G handsets than NOK does today. In fact, IDCC has signed with those who are currently making and selling over 75% of the 3G handsets today. Ummm. Were you aware of that?

75%? can you back that up with any statistics? If IDCC is currently getting paid on 75% of the 3G market, the growth potential is much lower than I calculated. I'll wait again for your reply.

Here's a history lesson for you. There was a time when one well know analyst thought QCOM was worth $1,000. It's been a few years since then and QCOM isn't anywhere near that. You are right the street does value companies on the future and not on the past. Where does that put QCOM's $1,000 price point today? There's a lot of past to be caught up to there. I think QCOM might never reach that point, EVER, or maybe in about 20 years. NOT.

Do you happen to know that Qualcomm was at $503 at the time of the $1000 price target (and ran up to $800)? Since then it had a 4:1 split, followed by a 2:1 split....can you do the math? Think QCOM can get to $125 by 2010? R^)

Silly silly man, there's actually quite a few that made a killing on QCOM that are also invested in IDCC. You add nothing to the discussion here except to make yourself look foolish with your stunning lack of knowledge and understanding of your own investment...maybe you really are Mickey! ROF!!!!!!!

Well, Captainslog, you really did waste your time with that post. As a matter of fact I am ashamed that a person from my home town could let the rain rust his brain that much. I am a U-Dub Alum and proud of my Northwest roots, but you are in no way representative of that great area. The Seattle area was instrumental in Wireless (Mcgraw) and I am surprised that you are not more versed in the field. No need to respond further, your post shows your ignorance.
