Due to the elasticity of spidersilk, I am skeptical that it could stop a bullet BEFORE the bullet passed through the human body. Kevlar is used because of its ability to stop a bullet BEFORE it passes through the human body but it breaks easy due to its lack of elasticity which is why it needs to be layered. DS might be able to stop a round with less layers than Kevlar, but again, what good is it if it can’t stop the round until after it passes into or through the flesh and bone. Or, can multiple layers do it? Or, can a Kevlar/DragonSilk weave material be layered to the point where it is way better than Kevlar alone? What about the custom fiber? So many questions yet to be answered. The sooner they shoot at it and test it the better! We need to know what this fiber and fabric can and cannot do!
