The salient point is that Intel is not ahead any more. They are even at best, and very likely falling behind.
So it was in 2004 with Opteron, right? and how many times before over the last 20 years? And now it's REALLY different, correct? In a way it is, because AMD is now making some profit beyond the EU extortion of the past years.
To me the question is becoming more and more irrelevant anyway since the real action is surely NOT in MY cpu vs. YOUR cpu
