It really is unfortunate. While all this "If you don't agree with me politically, you're stupid." stuff goes on, our "representatives" keep extending the terms of copyrights and patents. Now, I see, the "intellectual property rights" to Jimi Hendrix properties will be auctioned off in New York, on Thursday. We built the greatest nation in the world (and the largest corporations) long before anyone even heard of "intellectual property rights". Now, as our government helps giant corporations extend their ability to milk the public, our nation is slipping into a cesspool of greed and self-indulgence.
I often listen to the music of the '30s and '40s ... it was cheerful and upbeat. We were broke, but we had spirit. I don't think we have anything like that now. We need a good depression.
