Hmmmm….
Reminds me of my earlier days when I accepted a bunch of beads in exchange for Manhattan.
Dumbest thing I ever did! Honest Injun!!
Visits here are always enjoyable but we're off to Brownsville...
A favorite activity for the wife and me is going to an area "pulga." It's a flea market offering the absolute best and most inexpensive fruits and veggies you'll find anywhere. And lots of non-food items too.
So much of what we buy costs triple to quadruple area supermarkets' pricing.
Medium-large pineapples---2 for a $1.
Large cantaloupes---a dollar apiece.
All sorts of squashes---Summer and Winter both at the same time---five/$1.
Roma tomatoes--- about three pounds for a dollar.
It's always denominated in dollars as business is cash only.
And we get to practice our Spaniculitis, too. (When I converse in Spanicular tongue, it sounds like a disease!)
Have a great day, everybody! It's sunny and we're 5-6 feet above ground.
