have you any thoughts on SSPX? i got in on friday at 1.08 and, while it looks like ssp may avoid delisting, i'm wondering if ssp has any remaining ties to wave, such that the advancement of TCG efforts may pull ahead ssp... what's your take?
on Fri, 5 Sep 2003 Tom Schiff, SSP's ceo, stated in an e-mail response to me: "I would expect that the panel will respond to this request in the next three weeks"
fyi, also Tom Schiff bought 100,000 shares at $0.76/share on Friday 8/29 -- i don't know if it was the result of exercised options, however.
given the streak of news following the labor-day weekend, it appears mr. schiff had some good timing
nonetheless, i'm curious to see if any others have the insights on the prospect of sspx remaining a viable concern.
as mr. schiff pointed to the pr, which states that ssp has "...through October 31, 2003 to evidence a closing bid price of at least $1.00 per share for 10 consecutive trading days for any time period prior to October 31, 2003 thereby meeting Nasdaq's minimum bid requirement for continued Nasdaq National Market listing."
