#35661 RE: Preciouslife1 #35660

my concerns are roughly as follows:
1) It doesn't shutdown the virus production- check the
rates/numbers but I think this makes the other stuff of questionable value,
2) I'm not sure that provoking an immune response against serum virus will help ( someone claimed a virus 1/2 life is a few hours, I never checked this but if true seems difficult to compete for noticeable effects),
3) Provoking a phagocyte response against the liver ?
I'd like to see some liver function results, not just viral load ( autoimmune liver concerns).
4) Since the only effect it is intended to have is changed receptor from PS to ( the right subtype ) Fc receptor, I'd like to see some indication that they designed it properly- this is quite a trick to get right in any given species.
Have they gotten any in vivo data on this yet?
Certainly empirical clinical results are more important- I won't argue with a disappearing tumour- but absent that I'd like to see some indication it works as advertised.

"I see that Bavi AV will be the successor to Interferon without all the bad side effects and toxicity issues that pervade the HCV boards daily"

Bold statement. The market seems to disagree, however...
