There are a lot of investors who simply do not understand how toxic death spirals work or the concept behind them.
They can't understand that the "lender" essentially knows they are going to kill the company as part of their (highly successful) business plan. People just don't want to believe it.
But believe it they should, as that is guaranteed to happen. And that is why no one should ever buy a share of any stock that has issued even 1 cent of toxic death spiral convertible debt.
If more people understood how they work and what the guaranteed ultimate end will be for the stock, they would not buy the shares (invariably directly from the toxic conversions) and the toxic lenders would no longer be able to make a profit at the complete expense of the common shareholders.
