It was the Qualcomm/Ericsson trial that brought me to Interdigital. That a company could own the basic tech in that huge industry was amazing to me. Now they made their big money selling chips, but owning the rights to the tech is big enough. Both of those companies went multi dollars that year, and there wasnt years of past infringement to get paid for. How Chanbond couldnt manage to get paid on this, and sold to Billy on a song, is even more amazing.
