This is my last post for the day (freebie ihub user here lol) so I have to make it long.
Not sure that giving up is the state I'm in but rather tired of this after so many years. My goodness, I got into this when my daughter was in grade school now she is in high school and dating. And we are still in the same place, enough is enough.
My dad always said depending on others is not as good as depending on yourself and to depend on yourself you must take actions. I have tried to contribute to this cause a few times but my individual efforts is not even a drop in the vast ocean. When Timhoward717 was up and running I offered to do some financial analyses (my background is in corp finance) along with some of the finance folks that wanted to do some forensic accounting. When he disappeared I called the investors relations department at Fannie to spread the truth and ask rhetorical questions.
My last idea was to write letters to CEOs in silicon valley (where I live) to bring up awareness of the dire housing situation here. Rent for a 4 bedroom house in a industrial area runs $5,000, in nicer areas $8,000. $1.5M will buy you a less than 2,000 sq ft house, over 40 years old in an industrial area, for nicer areas $2.5M to start. Then I realized there's so much money around here that people that have means to buy will buy with or without FnF, people who can't buy can't buy no matter what. Bottom line, nobody will give a shit about FnF. Cal is the 7th largest economy in the world, if Cal doesn't give a shit about FnF then there you go.
May Sammy Boy can organize some kind of protest together.
