I also think NWBO and UCLA have put a gun to the head of the journal as well. The change in UCLA GBM conference date appears to be a 2 month concession to the journal and the last one. After that Dr. Linda Liau has enough clout to get the article published in the one she used to be editor in chief of and then hold the conference. I don't know if all trial investigators who want to sign on to this article will have their names on the article if that is the case but I would venture to say that there appears to be a great deal of solidarity within this group. By the way, I think that NWBO believes that the importance of this paper warranted a 4 month or less time frame from submission. They expect the "courtesy" of at least getting it published within 6 months of submission or they appear ready to take matters into their own hands. One last comment about the date of the vote. It can be postponed yet to fit with a different time frame (perhaps May) if the journal does not anty up. The penciled in April* is a symbolic backing of the journal for now in my view. Tic toc. Best wishes.
