I lean towards before as well, but again before or after IF IF IF they knwo (and they do) what value is coming back here does it reallt matter on which side of the fence they pull it.......

Just exactly the opposite,they would cry foul after a merger but if done before they KNOW about it and are not the blindsided, plus IJMHO they don't really care since they KNOW and have seen the values involved
