yep, boom. SPY was gapping up 0.5% and UVXY down 7%.
then CPI hit, sparking inflation fear,
and SPY immediately dropped 4.00 in a minute,
with UVXY (volatility) jumping 10% in that minute.

the entire trading day just got turned on its head
as ever can be...

fwiw, apparel has been dropping recently,
so being a rising leader today
is a strong inflection in consumer spending on fashion.
