So they drop $500,000 setting up a no name location, without distribution, planning, training, etc instead? Isn't that riskier?

Anybody can open a hamburger place, how many ways can a burger be made?... but that dont slow the growth of franchising. Theres a reason for this.

Snakes will give you a cookie cutter operation, ready to go... which is much easier than going through trial and error.

I think that this Is a very valid question that those who are invested in franchises should make. I believe that there is a reason why S&L educates their competition, although I can not know what that reason is. Perhaps Jrf might be better informed or maybe this could be something to ask Roger once he reappears on My two cents.
