Don't be like the French and surrender so quickly. S&L needs to complete in every market. But you are right on the speed thing. I said it last year. This is a low barrier to entry business. S&L needs to move quickly and be first to the market in North America. You can't sit and study long. people will move in. Roger needs to make sure he is not the Edsel of Board game Cafe's. If you don't know the story of the Edsel car , look it up.

There will be a Snakes in Edmonton one day imo... Just because theres a competitor does not mean Snakes wont do well. Can a city have more then one cafe, bar, restaurant? A place to eat can be on every corner and do well, in a major city. Then add on the entertainment aspect... Most game cafes hold less than 100 people and theres a million people in Edmonton

Snakes is the NAME in this new sector. There are competitors in Toronto as well, yet Snakes still dominates as the #1 game cafe, per every review site i read.

I see Snakes biggest profits being made with self published games. IMO we will have a handful of games that do 9 figures per year in the future, with very strong margins, not including distribution for other peoples titles
