I’m going on what my son says. He does valuations for gas/oil/petroleum companies. He strongly thinks we have the wrong audit firm. Even if it is a 3 yr. audit. Way to long in his opinion.

Excellent-post-CW!!! Especially-this: "I just had a manager tell me he won't get to the review of one of my October audits files until next week. That's the 4th time he has said that. Auditors are busy people!"

Heck...the rest of it was super too: "Yes, auditors over-promising. I bet it was staff or a low level auditor that told the CEO the audit was 99% done. A partner just wouldn't say that.

In January when he met with the auditors, that's when he for sure spoke to the partners... they had one last final list of items/requests they needed which probably took AMFE 1-2 days to get to the auditors. THen the auditors take another 3-7 days to pick back up where they left off, then the partners have to go back in and review... It's a timely process in the heart of busy season."

Thanks for sharing your personal experience to help us all better understand and accept this audit process taking this long...AND explaining how the completion expectations come from the auditors, not just Roger saying things that "pop into his head"!!!! Hahaha!!!

Cheers CW....tuna

AMFE FOR LIFE!!! And for NASDAQ!!!
