Thanks, PD, for the link, which provides a web site for volunteering in forthcoming Alzheimer's studies. I'll be signing up later today.
With Dr. Aisen as one of the three lead investigators (see below from NIH PR on 12/11/17) and a SAB member at Anavex, will he be able to put his history with Lilly, sola and amyloid ("Lilly prodded by Paul Aisen" was a quote I read recently) behind him to allow for him to accept new ideas on Alzheimer's drugs? Be good to read his current views on 2-73.
Trials would be conducted harnessing guidance from ACTC leaders, an executive committee and an external advisory board, which will include a patient advocate. The Principal Investigators for the project are:
Paul Stephen Aisen, M.D., director of the ATRI at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, San Diego Reisa A. Sperling, M.D., director of the Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School, Boston Ronald C. Petersen, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, Rochester, Minnesota
Almost rolling. The web site is set up and one can register and take the CFI test which is basically subjective questions asking do you think do you forget things more now as opposed to one year ago. Part two is the Cogstate. I tried to take it in several different browsers but although it has a video of instructions and the button to begin the test it is stuck on this: "Setting up link to Cogstate assessment, please wait....this may take a few seconds"
I am sure some will also....#BlameItAllOnMissling
