Agree - I have been busy with other investments of late, but if I were to begin an investigation on the current condition of the markets in general and gold in particular, the first rock I'd look under would be the upcoming elections -

I saw a cartoon the other day of a fellow standing beside a gas pump filling up his tank. Beside the pump was a ballot box.
