Look at these levels of 100 increments of the 5 minute CCI 144.

-300; -200; -100; 0; +100; +200 & +300

They could possibly all be traded the same way. On the minuses go long when CCI rises above one after having been below. On the pluses go short when the CCI goes below one after having been above. Reverse course if whipsawed.

Treat the 0 CCI the same depending on the trend at that time
