3 days ago you could buy from your Scottrade online account but not as of Thursday afternoon. I asked my broker why and he couldn't give me an explanation. You can sell online but not buy.
I had same problem!! I did have to call to place order?? I asked why because in past orders , i did with on line orders .. they couldn’t give me any reason why? But they did change me the extra money!!! What was pissen my off?? They to damn slow, placing order, missed few 8’s but got 9,s .. i said come on please order and watching L2 at same time.. Scottrade kinds sucks??
I did get the message to call my broker, but when he checked he said my commission would only be the same online rate that I am always charged when I put the order in myself. This rate is $6.95 plus 1/2 % when I put in the order myself which is exactly what he charged me I - I was not charged the broker assisted rate.
