Re Scottrade, that's my broker and I bought three times last week directly from within my online account. Didn't get that message to call broker directly that I've seen in some other volatile pennies in the past. You do have to place limit orders though because it won't accept market others for it.
Yesterday, I bought 2,000,000 shares of sanp through Scottrade. Although I had to use a broker I still was only charged the online internet charge. I did not have to pay the broker assisted charge. I just told Scottrade that I was unable to put in a buy order myself. He said no problem !
I had a confirmation of my completed buy order at .0012 and .0013 for 2,000,000 shares within a couple of minutes because it was two separate orders.
