When were there meetings or talks between ISIS Leaders and Mattis?
Huh?? No one has ever suggested doing that. The "Islamic State" isn't really a state, and shouldn't be treated as one. Mattis's remarks were made in connection with North Korea. Mattis is a scholar and an intellectual, so he probably has a hard time getting through to Trump.
Trump's is good for stating an objective and letting others bring him the glory for success, by whatever means those he assigns the task to, feel is necessary.
And what, exactly, is Trump's objective in the Middle East? Whatever it may be, it won't be served by his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He doesn't realize that, because he's utterly ignorant.
If his objective is "world peace", he should have just signed up for one of his Miss Universe contests.
As to the movies he evidently adores, I believe his entire misunderstanding of history was formed by them.
You can call that huge cash transfer to Iran (1.7 billion in 2016) anything you want.
I don't think it was that much, but I won't quibble. It was not some kind of grant; it was Iranian money we'd frozen decades ago. It was their money, and it was freed up in exchange for their agreement to the nuclear weapons pact.
My point was, that Trump will not be making any future cash transfers or plane shipments to Iran under any guise.
Until he will be, if they suck up to him bigtime, and offer to let his ghastly children build a "Trump Tower" in Tehran.
He's doing a very, very bad job.
