It's one thing to make aspirational statements
Those were not just aspirational statements. They were promises, heard not only by the American public during a campaign, but by leaders and allies around the world. My whole point was, how much trust do other world leaders give to those that espouse diplomatic promises that they do not keep. What becomes the attitude of others when they hear your false promises to your own people, only to forget those same people when you get from them what you want? Do you think the people of Israel just blew those promises off as campaign rhetoric or a joke? Jewish Americans were once a loyal constituency of the Democratic Party, but that is slowly beginning to change , after the promises and diplomacy of the last administration. If Trump runs again, it will be interesting to see how American Jews will react to his promise kept to Jewish voters.
