Because people who have "only" $20 million won't be affected for a decade or two. But eventually it'll hit them too, if we keep on this way.
Ten or twelve years ago, it was first announced that $250K was a normal "middle class income". I was astonished. I thought that was absurd. But now it IS a middle class income. A family of four needs that much to live decently and send the kids to college. Something that was possible for much, much less a few decades ago.
We're on a very dangerous path. I'm glad I'm old, and won't see what's to come.
