Usually people here say well if you don't like it, just sell. And they say call this person or that person, giving the impression that has been their salvation. Like the OH. Phooey. The published financial performance results have always been more reliable. You called them. You saw the real results, and you bailed instead of losing a pile of your money. Good call on your part. I am in a somewhat different situation, with a zero cost basis, but that aside you have made the right move.

It was a tough decision to make and I know it's a risk, but I feel I made the right choice. I had the profits on the table and asked myself if I would prefer to take a substantial loss off my initial investment and profits if the stock goes down or take a small loss chasing the stock up because the company comes out with news of a big contract. Note: I had 75 % of my savings in Liquidmetal. Not wise but I took the chance/risk once and it worked. Once news like that happens (big news and real news) it won't matter much if I buy back in higher. It will matter though if I'm able to buy back in lower and gain 50,000 - 100,000 shares "minimum" because I sold when I did.

Don't get me wrong I still have immense confidence in Professor Li and the company. Believe me I'm still a unicorn but I had to make a choice based on my own risk assessment, which includes my personal situation (everyone's situation and risk tolerance are different). I have a son who has serious medical challenges and I felt taking some profit off the table for him was better than him going without (never going to happen).

P.S. I do know this...one way or another Applied Medical and other medical manufacturers / companies will use Liquidmetal in future devices, I just don't know when. I would assume that the material is going to have to have FDA approval for any devise that goes into the body, whether it's a surgical instrument or permanent devise.
