Welcome.

You are asking the right person about the spreadsheets. That's not me.

Here is what I am doing -

Go to the upper right hand corner of the below page and enter your email address for a free Surfer trial period.

http://www.sumgrowth.com/default.aspx

Now in the upper half of the Surfer page, 'Active Strategy's', you can enter in up to 12 mutual funds from your 401k plan into one 'strategy', then click on the 1 month sort and see what it tells you.

This is similar to the 'pony express' analagy on 'Bob's Mutual Fund Page' where you 'ride one horse (fund)' until another is better, then switch 'horses'. Instead if switching horses, Sumgrowth calls it switching waves to surf.

If you have more than 12 funds in your 401k plan, go to the lower 'sandbox' area of the Surfer page and create multiple 'strategies' until you have all your funds included, click on the 1 month sort for each, and identify the higher performing ones in each one. Now take the 12 highest performing funds from the sandbox, and enter them into your upper 'Active Strategy.

If you like what you see, you can turn an 'Active Strategy' into a paid strategy for more real time info and email alerts by turning your free trial into a paid membership with a CC# for $10/mo.

If you click on the 'Hall of Fame' page, then click on 'Mutual Funds', you will find examples using Fidelity funds. Some only Fidelity Select Funds.

Hi FSS...glad you found this board. I think No-Quarter and I are both similarly inclined - 401K-ers, Fidelity Select oriented but every 401K is different, and trying to raise the bar on mutual fund performance. You mention momentum and that is a match as well.

To answer your key question, yes I have all of the Excel data you see in the screenshots. Excel has always been my favorite application but Investorshub doesn't allow live spreadsheets to be embedded. I have all of the data and I generally update each weekend. But...I am not the most web savvy so I am not sure how to best share the live data.

I can very easily and happily email to you as I have started to with NQ just the other day. Or, if anyone has a suggestion on how to share/host the data other than email I am game.

Also, NQ has brought some very useful approaches to the momentum aspect by bring a site called http://www.sumgrowth.com/ Excellent insight and algorithms for Sector Rotation which really fits with the Fidelity Select family.

If you want to check out the data just PM me your email address and I will send you a workbook.

Also interested in how you strategize in your 401K environment.

Thanks for stopping by.
