A Bob Memory:

About ten years ago, Bob bought a brand-new Subaru just to race at the track (which you weren't supposed to do - it voided the warranty). After a couple of weeks of racing, he blew out the engine.

When Bob contacted Subaru to replace the engine, they said the only way that could happen was if he was racing the car, which voided the warranty. They refused to give him a new engine.

So, Bob contacted me and asked if I would create a phony car pic for him. I made him the pic below, which he sent to Subaru, saying that he just painted his car like this, and would ride around town until Subaru gave him a new engine.

Believe it or not, after seeing this picture, Subaru backed down and gave him a new engine.

Lord rest his hard-drivin' soul.

My condolences to his family and friends. He served in the U.S Army Band and was an accomplished trumpet player and pianist. I didn't know Mr. Zumbrunnen but I'd like to thank him for his service. I'm guessin' in the Army Band he played the trumpet more than the piano and, thus, I offer this tribute to him.

Didn't know Bob, I have heard of him a time or two here on IH over the years. In the Obit it sounds like Bob would of been a pretty cool person, an achiever and an ARMY man to boot.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I remember him fondly during the years he was active here on Ihub. He was way too young to have the thread of his life cut short. But things are as they are and crossing over into the unknown is the natural fate of every living thing. We do not mourn his passing because we know he has moved on to other things -- we mourn for ourselves, for the loss of his presence among us and for that reminder of our own mortality.

Rest in peace, Bob. You earned it!

How many times a day is someone allowed to post if you are not a paid subscriber. I was under the impression it was 3 times a day but I'm only being allowed 1 a day. This is rediculous. My past few post have been on topic which there are many others that use this board to post about music groups and songs. Thats not on topic. Wtheck is up with this place.
