Bidrite, voting mechanics.

The White and Red cards are proxies where you assign your shares to White or Blue to vote. You may give them some some instructions, such as withholding votes for some of their slate. But I do not think they ever allow a write in option for the other slate (or a true write in).

This also applies to internet/phone voting. If somebody uses the White web page, they can not vote a Blue candidate (and vice versa).

The only way possible to actually vote a mixed slate is to go to the meeting with your shares. If your shares are in street name (as most all are) you need to get a "legal proxy" from your broker.

This all kind of sucks, and the SEC is trying to change it to a rational system. But as every single business is against any change, unlikely to happen.
