As you know very important research on T1DM is being conducted at U. of Ala in Birmingham...Some of their results suggest that the Beta cells are restorable or replaceable if the the TXNIP protein can be neutralized...
Perhaps EPA has some effect on this protein..It is known that IR is caused by increased inflammation.
North - I did not realize you had a science background, but I knew about your patent law history. I am an academic scientist by day. The patent work I have done is on the side as an expert witness, but I have "enjoyed" learning patent lingo - it is a different language.
