I don't think that was really their idea. They simply wanted to keep up with the list of active pumps, but not the research articles.

I can kind of see that: the companies they'd be doing research on would be their clients, which could become problematic.

Yup.

OTCMarkets silenced an outlet posting negative facts about their customers. That is really bad for business, and by not only silencing the facts and wiping out the archives, they can continue to pretend (and try to convince the public and other customer companies) that they keep the OTC fair and honest.

If they just wanted to track promotions, they didn't need to buy the they needed to pay for. I am sure it would have been much cheaper for them to set up their own promotion tracking.
