I dissagree with you. All settlements end up less because both partys come to a comfortable number that they both can agree on. If it were in court they can sue for the maximum that sfor wants and puts sfor in control.
If your ex wife takes you to court you have to options either she wins and gets half and the kids and whatever else she wants and vice versa.
But if you settle out of court she might get the house and you might get the car and if you have kids you can work out visitation rights. If entrust were giving in and paid sfor whatever they wanted, there wouldnt have been a court hearing to begin with.
