There is a free anti-virus program called AVG at:

I don’t know how good it is, but it sure beats nothing!

I believe that the major anti-virus companies have online scans available also.

Preview Plane in Netscape:
Both 7.0 and 4.8 have buttons that minimize the preview plane window to nothing. I don’t know if this disables preview, or just hides it though…
