Thanks PW... here is where I prove I am a total idiot.
No clue as to what the registries do... and I have great fear of doing anything in DOS mode. Could be the end of my machine as I know it. <g>
So far my clean out cookies and temporary files then reboot method seems to do the trick when I have trouble with the internet. I am in the habit of cleaning them (and the cache) prior to shutting down my machine. I only save IHub and the Times cookies so I don't have to log in each time I go to the sites. After awhile the old cookies seem to get out of whack... I find one in the cookies file and none in the temporary file or 1 in one file and 2 in another. A clean slate seems to save the day.
