It's becoming a global issue, while the planet is warming so are the oceans and the atmospheres ability to hold more water which make hurricanes more deadly. The problem is going to become a lot worse off the more green house gases are released into the atmosphere. The warming oceans are already causing massive releases of methane, which is 10 times more destructive than carbon dioxide.
