Trump Admin Denies Waiver To Bring Desperately Needed Supplies To Puerto Rico
The monster storm has devastated Puerto Rico and it could be months before basic services are restored.
That was updated on MSNBC tonight. The available information is unclear.
Trumpty was asked about it. Seeking as always to look like a fool, he said Jones Act waivers are "bad for the shipping industry". That he'd had complaints from shippers. Way to go.
But on the other hand, locals on the ground said the port is packed with containers full of the supplies the island desperately needs. But they don't have the means to distribute it. Not enough manpower, and the roads are a mess, full of debris and sometimes completely destroyed. That needs to be dealt with. Evidently some help will arrive at the weekend.
Still, I think this could have been organized much better.
