>>"the Gambit is running out of gas here"<<

Speaking of gas, the pumps are reading $2.07 per gal today for reg here in Calif. Do I hear $2.25?

duper...

As I said, I may be wrong about the Gambit running out of gas - the Gambit is absolutely critical to Greenspan's efforts to reflate the economy and he will do whatever it takes to keep it going since he knows that if it fails here and the markets tank, the economy will rapidly turn back down and we will join Germany and France in a recession that will be very hard to recover from. I am just reacting to what I am seeing on the tape, and that is a whole lot of selling into a market that is making new highs all the way around.

Here are today's internals - note the A/D lines, the lack of new highs, and the light volume.

If I am wrong, it will not be the first time, nor the last -- I will lick my wounds (not severe due to close stops) and play it from there.

"the Gambit is running out of gas here"

duper - mlsoft just meant by "running out of gas" that the market is through "fartin' around"

duper-man, every time i think <"the Gambit is running out of gas here"> it costs me! We are dealing with unlimited capital. It doesn't even have to be printed, a fed wire transfer covers their efforts. So this is an ideal world, the market goes up pension funds get salvaged and it costs nothing!

Why am I so scared?

Because I was in Brazil when they struck the last three zeros off the currency and gave it a new name. Screw the hard working people that had tried to do right by saving for their future.

But that couldn't happen in the US. Could it?
