1) Why would Dr. M use "the tip of the iceberg" comment if there weren't more there than meets the eye? Practically speaking, if there were nothing there, one would not even think of using that phrase.
Practically speaking, if there is still nothing there, no one knows what it is we have or don't have. Neither you nor me. But I'm not the one claiming cure, claiming partnership, claiming fast-track, claiming BO. To take as proof a comment by a biotech CEO is like someone finding a promising pebble in a stream and saying it's a mountain of gold...if only you dig, if only you mine.
To give an example - CEO of another biotech with some serious following claimed and issued a PR - 'Mr President we are ready to tackle antibiotic issue' investors cheered - after 3 plus years - the drug is in the drawer and no progress is made on antibiotic front
So I apply a discounting factors of 50% plus to CEOs of biotech - believe them when you see actual results - till such time it is vaporware
After 1 year if trial is still not started - it is cause of concern and asan investor I am suspect not all well
